It is hosted by HSBC and has a great history in the years that it has been around. The HSBC golf tournament has led to the success of the HSBC Champions in Asia and has taught everyone at HSBC more about golf than they ever would have imagined with they first decided to host the tournament.

The future of the HSBC golf tournament may change since HSBC officially announced that they will step down from hosting the annual event after this year’s tournament. Come see the end of this 5-year run and be a part of history. The 2007 HSBC World Match Play Championship will be held between October 11th and 14th at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England. The format is for a field of 16 players to compete in a 36-hole elimination match play rounds until a winner is left.
