Nothing is Free…Except Free Golf Lessons
from:I can read your mind already. You are thinking that, with all the money you’ve just spent buying golf clubs, a membership to the local golf course, hundreds of golf balls (after all, you’re going to lose a bunch, right?), and even some golf clothes, what difference is it going to make in your budget to get free golf lessons? Of course, every little bit you save is going to make a difference, and you probably feel justified in asking for free golf lessons after all the money you have spent.
The question is, where can you get anything for free these days? Honestly, it may be difficult to find free golf lessons, especially since the sport itself is so costly and exclusive. However, there are several places you can begin looking, such as any local community centers that offer free classes on various topics from time to time. Check into listings for golf classes or a random session with tips and tricks on golfing. Also, check with the manager at the course you frequent; they are bound to have a session or two of free golf lessons at some point in your future.
You can even find materials that offer free golf lessons on the Internet, ranging from lists of various helpful hints to full instructional videos that will offer instruction at no charge. In fact, you could even bank on the generosity of a friend or family member, especially whoever got you involved in the sport to begin with, to give you a couple of free golf lessons to help you become more competitive and confident in your play. If you move up and start teeing off from the forward tees, others at the course will take notice as well, and there are always friendly souls who are willing to spend a little time critiquing your stance or correcting your swing without billing you for their assistance. Usually, these people enjoy sharing their wisdom and letting others know just how experienced they are, which can be a great opportunity to further your knowledge.
If you can’t seem to find satisfactory attention for free, you could also check into inexpensive clinics at some of the nearby public golfing facilities or, again, at community centers in the area. When a number of people show interest in such seminars, the cost is generally quite low and can be a great alternative to free golf lessons when they are not available. Whatever you do, don’t spend any more unnecessary cash securing lessons; after everything you’ve spent to get into the sport, be reasonable and find a way to save money!
